I almost forgot we could "win" so soon, until Mayumi reminded me via a tweet. Thanks again, Mayumi!

I can't speak for anyone else, but it was quite exciting to see the word counts shoot up in those last few days of November! I had great fun with more than just 1 or 2 fellow participants in my Buddies List. It definitely kept me going, even though I started a few days in and didn't get into my story until very late in the game. It was especially helpful and motivating to read all those NaNo posts on the Limebirds site (hint, hint)! Whether my friends collapsed across the finish line or opted to sip lemonade on the sidelines, I really felt the community vibe, this year. I filled in a lot of word count gaps with back story and side scenes that I'd be hard-pressed to jam into the story proper, which - as it ended up - only came out to be about 32,000 words. I do like my story, though - I'm glad I put it down on paper. Still, I'm grateful to be returning to my other works, too. How did everyone else feel about their crazy November?

Yeah I enjoyed it (I think). I like the challenge of writing fast and meeting targets, I enjoy that. I did have a lot of difficulty getting in the swing of it. I more enjoyed seeing everyone else meet great targets and shooting up the numbers!
