Hello!
The last book that I read was 'When God Was A Rabbit' by Sarah Winman. Currently in the process of writing up a review for it, so I will post when I've done.
For now, what's the last book that you read and did you enjoy it??

I'm currently reading the women of the otherworld series at the moment by Kelly Armstrong it starts with Bitten and goes from there.
It's a sci-fi/Romance/Adventure series and includes werewolves, vampires, witches, sorcerers and demons etc. They aren't exactly intellectual but I find them a fun read and very entertaining, if you like alternate worlds and or the sci-fi genre they are definitely worth a look. Although if you are adverse to sex in books I would avoid them as especially the werewolves are how do you say.... promiscuous.

Thanks for the recommendation, I might have to have a look into them!

I'm on something of a science binge at the moment so I'm currently reading 'Bad Ideas' by Robert Winston, and recently also read 'A Short History of Nearly Everything' by Bill Bryson. Not humour like Bryson's usual work, but a very good read nonetheless.

I am currently reading 'Perfume' on the recommendation of QxFace - qxface.wordpress.com/ and I am enjoying it so far! He recommended it to me because of the rich descriptive language in it. Has anyone read this before?

The last thing I read, well reread, was 'John Dies at the End". This book is NOT for everyone. However, I adore it. Limebirdbeth's book has 'rich descriptive language" in it. Mine has... rich... language in it. The book is so hilarious though, in my opinion. This last time I rad it, I read through it in one sitting. The characters John and Dave save the world (multiple times), find (some sort of) meaning to their lives; oh and get a drug that causes side effects of being able to do miraculous feats for a short time, and forever effects of seeing things you never want to see. I read JDatE right before I started writing my book for NaNo and I won't lie, I was probably a little influenced. I know I was at least not afraid to let my characters drop the f-cluster-bomb. I would recommend this book to anyone who can stand groin references, corny jokes, strong language, and who wants to laugh every paragraph. I see deeper symbolism in the book when I read it. Of course, I could be reading too deeply in it. The books everyone else is reading sound great! I'll have to check them out!

The last thing I read was Specials, from the Uglies series (I'm a sucker for YA fiction) Good series, probably not as good as The Hunger Games...not technically similar to the Hunger Games, but they are both YA novels set in a dystopian future. So for anyone who likes YA dystopian novels I would recommend these.
Now I'm reading Dammed by Chuck Palahniuk...I love that man. I'm only a couple of chapters in, so I can't really comment on it but it definitely seems interesting so far!

I love the Uglies series. I never read the Extras, though.
Hmm, I wish I still had them, I want to reread them now. Thanks a lot ;P

I'll have to have a look on Amazon and see if I can get it. I'll read it after 'Perfume'!
