I had a wonderful Christmas with my family. I even got to take a day off from the computer! But, now I'm back and ready to rock-n-roll.
I hope everyone had a great Christmas, too!

Hope you all had a lovely Christmas. Mine was wonderfully chilled and relaxing for the first time in living memory .I saw all my three grandchildren on Christmas Eve which was lovely and I got some amazing presents including a Kindle which I fear will become very addictive. My youngest daughter got me an incredible present. She is paying for me to learn to drive. Yes, at the grand old age of 48 she wants me to finally pass my test. Aaagh! I am very scared but I can't let her down.My life at the moment seems to be all about new challenges and discoveries doesn't it!

Oh Sharon I know what you mean! I'm 27 and haven't taken the test yet either, I'm so scared of it. Good luck!

I didn't get my driver's license until I was 28. (Though I drove around illegally with a permit for years). Now I don't feel quite so bad. I spent Christmas in an uncharacteristically cheerful mood. Usually holidays get to me in a not very good way, but I "met" someone online whose past work I admired very much and we got to joking around, and he laughed like crazy at something I said, and I was high as a kite. I was supposed to participate in a special chat for lonely people over the holidays and I couldn't even do it really because I was so giddy it would have seemed insensitive to the people who were on there - feel a little bit bad about that, but there were plenty of others helping out. Yesterday and today coming down in mood rather sharply, frustrated with writing but got some good paintings done. One nice thing about doing two different creative things is when you get stuck on one, you can do the other, and sometimes it helps the first one come unstuck.

I'm still alive! Glad you all had a great Christmas! Mine has been pretty good too. Just as the Christmas Cheer is starting the wear off, the anticipation for New Years Eve has arrived
