*Finally* made it over here to join the forum. Wait, isn't there an old joke about one night, at the forum . . . ;D A bit about me, um, I write/paint/photograph/design ~ basically anything creative. I've finished one fantasy novel which is with my beta for the final read before I start seeking out an agent. I've started the second book in the series. Also have an urban fantasy WIP as well as a few shorts. More about me can be found at one of my two blogs (am I allowed to post them here?) My writing blog: myrandommuse.wordpress.com and my blog about life on a small farm and raising/training/trialing stock dogs www.shadowdanceaussies.comAnything else? Hello! Yay, thanks for coming over to the limey side! Thanks for sharing all about you and yes of course you can post your blogs! We're all about finding new blogs and checking out each other's work here. Umm don't think so! Haha. Please have a nosey around the other sections of the forum!

Thank you all for the warm welcome. Being a freelance writer is challenging. It's not easy finding work, then when I do find it, the pay is laughable. But, at least I'm writing, which is my first love. Well, actually my cats are my first love... :-)

I'm a wolf lover, and I'm usually tying wolves to things I write. I do it without even realizing it sometimes! limebirdkate

Hi everybody, my activation code FINALLY came after like a week so here I am.
I'm an artist. I paint in an abstract expressionist style though I can also do more realistic stuff. (If you want to see, click on my homepage link and it will take you to my portfolio. You can also go on to my writing blog from there).
I live in a strange country in which I don't speak the language, but is inexpressibly beautiful.
I use Twitter too much and I'm trying to stop.
I have two black cats and no English-speaking real life friends. All my socializing has to be online because of language barrier thing. Sometimes I wish I had a significant other, other times I am grateful for my solitude.
I've begun writing about movies, which is not normally a subject I am interested in, but I saw a movie recently that was so good that I have to write about it, and so I am learning to do so in an intelligent way.
My desk is full of those little notes which look like
Post-Its but aren't sticky on the back. I do my best writing on those.
I have chronic insomnia.

Hello! Oh gosh, I'm so sorry it took so long, but we are very glad you are here! Welcome welcome welcome, do make yourself at home! Yes, I have seen your artwork, it's lovely! Ohh, where do you live? It sounds very mysterious. I LOVE cats, I used to have a black one too, which is sadly no longer with us. Do you mean like reviews? Ahh, I am also a lover of small notes, my room and desk at work are covered in them! Please do have a snoop round the other sections of the forum! Bx

Hello exiledstar. Gosh, you sound very interesting and intriguing. What country do you live in? I am on Twitter too much at the moment, too. I am about to start redrafting my novel and hopefully that will distract me enough to keep me away! It's so addictive, isn't it? Welcome to the forum which is wonderful and full of lovely, kind, helpful and supportive people. It's a place for creativity to flourish and fragile egos to be nursed and nurtured. I hope you will find it a good place to be. I'm sure you will. Sharon

Hi Exiledstar,
Welcome to our forums! I have a black kitten who is more trouble than I bargained for. But he's adorable, so I always forgive him! Know what you mean about Twitter, but it's nice because you can't get into long, drawn-out conversations that take up hours of your time!
Make yourself at home here and feel free to comment and post to your heart's content!

Welcome Exiled! I have a black cat too, his name is Franklin. He has a really cute white patch on his chest, and he loves to look at me with his head cocked to the side, which is adorable. He's the only cat of mine that lives outside, because he was an outside cat when I adopted him. He's the most polite out of my three cats though, so sometimes I threaten to banish the other two outside and trade them in for Franklin. I have noticed that black cats get a bad rap because all of the ones I've ever met are super sweet.

Hi all. Thanks for the kind welcome. I live close to the border of Croatia and Slovenia. I spend a lot of time in both countries. I just wrote a travel guide about Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. I'm fairly chuffed, as it is the first project I've ever finished that I actually got paid for. So now I get to feel like a professional writer.
The film analysis project is like a review, but in more depth. Like, "I spent four years in film school" depth.
Twitter. I have to stop. I get twitter anxiety when I tweet my friends and they don't reply. I sit there and wonder, was it because I wasn't funny enough?

LOL exiled! I do the same thing, not with twitter per se but with email, like I'll email my boss something and if she doesn't reply in 3 seconds I'm thinking I've done something wrong.
Well, I have been in film school for errmmmmm 5 years I think? It's tough to watch movies sometimes and not nit pic the lighting, sound, editing.... Good luck on your project!
