Hi everyone,
My name is Rahul. I don't have any writing related qualifications but I took part in nanowrimo last year as an attempt to just plunge into the writing world, the resulting effort was pretty poor but I really enjoyed the experience.
I currently work in quality control for a transcription service which means I spend a lot of my day correcting poor grammar and spelling, although that in no way means my own grammar and spelling is good!

Hi Rahul, Welcome to the Limebird Forums, I'm glad to see your login worked eventually! We have a dedicated NaNoWriMo section below, so maybe we can hear a bit more about your efforts this year? I don't think you need any particular 'qualifications' to write, that's what's so great about it! All you need is the passion and drive and creativity and you're set! That actually sounds like my ideal job! I love that kind of thing and everybody usually hates it. How did you get into that? Beth

Salam! namaskar! Kia orana! mambo!
I thought I would start with showing my amazing multi-cultural knowledge of how to say hello in many languages, but to be honest it was the intelligence of Mr Google and the interweb that i have abused... so instead I start with one of the most commonly used phrases in the history of the English language...i'm sorry.
I have no writing background and will in no doubt drive you all mad with my poor spelling, punctuation and overall grammar in general!
Ok so you want to know about me ay...
Well I'm the ripe old age of 26 and have had 4 different jobs, 4 cars, never moved house, and own a highly intelligent parrot who's pedigree name is.... Sir Digby Chicken Ceaser (Aka Alfie)
I look forward to reading all your blogs and may even start "blogging" myself!
So ... Thats all Folks!
Good night , god bless, and make as sure as hell those bed bugs don't get ya!

Hi there! My name is Kate and I am a stay-at-home mother who tries to write in her free time--4 in the morning. For my paying job I am a writing coach for fiction (which is perfect for working out of the house!)
I have a short story published, and I am in the process of shopping my first novel to literary agents as well as entering another short story in various competitions.
I am swamped with NaNoWriMo currently and trying to keep up with life in general. Thanks for such a great website. I really enjoy coming here and reading all the posts.

Hi there! I'm Ottabelle, or Amber. I found the forums through Limebird's wordpress blog. They followed me and I'm so glad they did or I would have missed out on an amazing blog. I'm currently in college, but my plans have changed. I'm going to finish getting the degree I'm on now (Associate of Arts) and then stop. While doing the last semesters, I'm going to be writing my novels. I plan to focus on my real passions after getting my degree; writing and art. It's scary.
I like reading everything, really.
I write, well, whatever story comes to mind. I tend to not use an outline right now, which may or may not change. I like to just let things happen. So my plans are hardly ever set in stone until it's almost time for them to happen. Sometimes this causes stress, but sometimes it doesn't and amazing things happen.
I also tend to post really long things.

Hello all ye Limebirds! My name is Laura and I document the rambling that goes on in my head at the ole Cheesecake Summer. I wanted to be a writer when I was a little kid, and always had journals with me full of short stories and poetry. But somewhere around high school graduation I forgot that and set off to college to be a film editor.
I do love film editing, a lot, but a couple of years ago decided I wanted to dual major in order to get an Associates degree in Screenwriting. Still working on both of my degrees...maybe when I'm 64 I'll have them.
Then it hit me, I don't have to limit myself to scripts (which I'm just now getting comfortable with my actual screenwriting abilities) and I should get back to my roots, like I did when I was a kid - write actual stories rather than scripts Anyway this is long and rambly....not unlike me at all.
Moral of the story is I kinda sorta know how to write scripts, I would like to get better of course, and while I'm still learning I do enjoy writing normal stories... non scripts....there is a word there to describe what I'm thinking that I can't think of.
You know what, Its almost 7 am. I think I should go to bed...
